We hope this message finds you safe and well. We are pleased to let you know that we are now open. Procedures and Protocols have been put in place to ensure we are safe, effective, caring and well led. Here are some changes that have taken place.
1. RECEPTION SAFETY
Reception is now fitted with a safety screen and you will notice that Caroline now wears a face mask and gloves at all times.
2. WAITING AREA
You may notice that there are no magazines, newspapers or children’s books. This is because they are difficult to keep clean and disinfect.
3. STAGGERING APPOINTMENTS
We will be staggering appointments in order to minimise traffic at reception. We also kindly ask you to phone for an appointment rather than coming in to make one, for the same reason.
4. HAND SANITISER
We will ask you to kindly sanitise your hands when you enter reception. You will be greeted by staff who will ask you a few preliminary questions ( the same questions you have already been asked on the phone when you made the appointment) and we will also take and record your temperature.
5. UNACCOMPANIED APPOINTMENTS
We kindly ask all patients except those under 16 years of age, or with a disability or those who have been prescribed pre medication as a sedative to please attend appointments alone.
6. STAFF PPE
You will notice that we will be wearing enhanced PPE which will vary according to the treatment involved.
We will ask all patients to rinse their mouths with H202, a measured mouthwash for a minute before they enter the surgery to see Mr. Fourie.
7. AIR-PURIFIERS- VIRUSKILLERS
We have purchased state-of-the-art air purifiers/sanitisers for each aerosol generating area which provide over 99.9% pass rate kill.
8. EXTRACTOR SYSTEM
We have an aerosol extraction system that will remove aerosol generated in the surgery.
9. SUPERIOR SUCTION
For some procedures, we will use upgraded intra-oral suction devices to reduce the release of aerosol as much as possible.
10. CLEANING OF THE PRACTICE
In addition to our already thorough infection prevention control measures we have added extra precautions throughout the day to ensure all surfaces are constantly cleaned and disinfected. You will notice that we have barrier methods all around the surgery which are all completely stripped after each patient.
Thank you for being our patient. We greatly value your trust and loyalty and we look forward to welcoming you back to our new normal.
All staff are excellent. My dentist and nurse are especially understanding and I feel that my needs are paramount.
I’m a nervous patient because I’ve had bad experiences with dentists (or so called) in the past but everyone in this practice is so kind and caring. Most importantly it DOESN’T HURT! So don’t worry because you’re in safe hands.
Thank you Mr Fourie at Eagle for whitening my teeth, making them sparkling white which I didn’t think was possible.
Very clear explanation of any problems and very open discussion of treatment options without pressure.
Mr Fourie is the best dentist I have ever had. I actually fell asleep while having treatment this afternoon! He never does any treatment until it is completely numb. Would and do thoroughly recommend him.
Caring, professional and patient focused practice, always been impressed with the response to dental emergencies.
